Vaudeville Theatre

Designed in 1870 by C J Phipps and remodelled in 1925, originally the Vaudeville was the home of light comedy and revue. Our Boys, an early comedy was so popular and well known it became a landmark for bus passengers and the conductors would simply shout Our Boys when nearing the theatre. Maintaining its traditions the theatre has staged many notable productions including Chu Chin Chow, Salad Days, Arsenic And Old Lace, The Man Most Likely To ...., Someone To Watch Over Me, and Dead Funny.
