National Theatre

The National, also referred to as the Royal National, is to be found at the South Bank Centre. Opened by the Queen in October 1976, it comprises in fact three separate theatres, namely: the Olivier which is the largest seating around 1000 or more; the Lyttleton which seats about 800 and the Cottesloe seating about 400. The Theatre is well known for its variety of productions and other events.
