Dursley in Gloucestershire

Emanating a strong industrial heritage, Coleford is an old mining town. The famous Mushet family aided the prosperity of the town through their connections with the steel and iron industry. Located on the center of Coleford in Market Place, the old Church tower boasts a parapet with pinnacles and a clock facing north, south, and west. Near the tower lies a cross marking the altar of an octagonal church demolished in 1812. Just east of the Coleford stands the Speech House. This seventeenth century courthouse used to be an old hunting house but is now part of a hotel chain.
