CRAIGIEVAR CASTLE, in Aberdeenshire was built in the 1600’s, it is said the most romantic castle in Scotland. The castle used to belong to the Mortimer family and was bought by Sir William Forbes who spent a fortune on renovating it. The castle stayed in the family until 1963 when it was bought by the National Trust. The castle has splendid views from the upper rooms over the countryside. |
