These are situated in Somerset House, The Strand and are named after Samuel Courtauld who on his death in 1947 left his private art collection to the University of London. On display in one of the biggest and finest Impressionist and post-Impressionist collections found in London are works by Van Gogh, Renoir, Cezanne and others. Other artists of different eras are also included. Not all works come from Courtauld’s collection which has been added to over the years.
