London Dungeon

This can be found at 28-34 Tooley Street in a 19th century warehouse. It is a fascinating and, some say, frightening place and might be a bit gruesome for some people. It shows in a rather realistic way through multi-media displays and special effects, people being tortured and executed; see the murder of Thomas a’Beckett, Anne Boleyn’s beheading, Jack the Ripper with his victims and many more. The sound effects of people screaming and moaning are horrifyingly real. Also on display are instruments of torture. The dungeon is open daily from 10.00 am – 18.30 pm from April to September closing an hour earlier in the other months. Admission is not free.
