The Alexander Fleming Laboratory Museum leads you in the footsteps of Fleming in the days when antibiotics were not being used to fight often lethal bacteria. See the small laboratory in which he discovered penicillin, now restored to it's cramped condition in 1928 when a petri dish of bacteria became contaminated with a mysterious mould, and experience the thrill of the story of the discovery of penicillin. Then retrace through the displays and a video the remarkable story of Fleming, the man and scientist.
