National Army Museum

Here at the British Army’s own museum one can discover how British soldiers from the 15th century to the present have lived and fought during their various campaigns. It has a wide range of material and a number of galleries each depicting certain wars or periods in history, for example there is the Redcoats area which contains information about the archers from Agincourt through to the Redcoats of the American Revolution. There is also the Road to Waterloo which has on display uniforms weapons and equipment of the times; the Nation in Arms telling the story of the British army during WWI and WWII. On the second floor there is a gallery which depicts the role and contribution women have made to the armed services.
