Aldershot in Hampshire

The small town of Aldershot’s claim to fame is as the home of the British army. Without the military influence, Aldershot would be like many other English villages, with a mixture of Victorian architecture and more modern buildings, surrounded by traditional English landscapes. Located within reasonable travelling distance from London’s Heathrow and Gatwick airports, Aldershot is easy to get to. The Aldershot Military Museum and Rushmoor Local History Gallery provide a closer look into the way of life for both civilians and soldiers throughout Aldershot’s history. Exhibits include the beginnings of British aviation and the Canadian army’s occupation during WWII.
