Quedgeley is located within Gloucester in the county of Gloucestershire. Quedgeley once consisted of a small rural community, but is now a thriving community of over 9000 people. Gloucester is an ideal place from which to explore some of the most beautiful areas in Britain such as the Severn Valley and the Royal Forest of Dean. The cathedral in Gloucester, built by the Normans and elaborated upon in the 14th and 15th centuries, is considered among the most beautiful buildings in Britain. The Gloucester docks, which were once part of a canal used to make navigating the Severn River easier, have been revitalized and are now filled with gift shops, restaurants, museums, shopping centers, and a huge antiques center. These docks are the city's great new tourist attraction.
